Post-Congress Tours

For those who have come from far away and do not only want to visit Santiago de Compostela, but also some other places in Northern Spain and Portugal, we will help you to experience this marvellous part of the Iberian Peninsula. With this objective, information about touristic destinations will be published in order to help you make your own touristic tour according to your interests and your agenda. You may also have the choice to take part at trips organized by the Sant Yago Agency, which will bring you straightforward to the most interesting and lovely places of Galicia.

One-day trips
Seven trips will be offered. They will bring you to the most emblematic landscapes of Galicia, from the beautiful coasts of the Rias Altas and the Rías Baixas to the frontier areas with Portugal, the rough countryside of the Galician mountains and the marvellous cities that are seats of the Galician cultural heritage, some of them bearing the title of world heritage cities: A Coruña with the Roman Herakles Tower, Lugo with its Roman City Wall, Ourense, seat of the millennial hot water springs. There will also be several trips to the Galician coast, where you may find wonderful beaches and spectacular landscapes. These trips will be organized in the days following the Congress, so that you can participate in some of them. Organized trips will require a minimum of 20 participants registered. The possibility of making a pre-reservation for the tours of your interest will be available soon. The offer will be of course broadened if enough people register and show interest for joining similar endeavours. The option to organize there trips during the Conference days will also be offered, so that accompanying persons that will not take part at the Congress activities may have the choice of joining them. Are you interested to join the pilgrims and to walk to Santiago de Compostela on the Way of St. James, experiencing this particular manner of approaching to Santiago de Compostela? The choice of performing one or several stages of the Way will be open, depending on your individual interests and your agenda.
